The age-long debate as to when the festive period officially starts is still raging hence there is no one who can say with certainty when the festive period starts. However, from our own point of view, the festive period starts a week before the start of the month of December. The whole of the month of December will be festive (who really can argue with that). As such, in our list of sporting events to watch out for over the festive period, we cover sporting events from late November all the way up to New Year’s Day. 2018 F1 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix

We start off with the thrill of motor racing. You can get pumped up for the rest of the festive season when you catch the 2018 F1 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. The Abu Dhabi Grand Prix comes on 25 November. The races will be held at Yas Marina Circuit, Abu Dhabi, UAE (for those willing to travel to catch the race live). If you haven’t watched Lewis Hamilton in recent races, then it’s a must for you to watch this Grand Prix as he is putting in some scintillating performances and more of the same is expected once more in Abu Dhabi.

Deontay Wilder vs. Tyson Fury

The Deontay Wilder vs. Tyson Fury fight kicks off the month of December. What better way to start the month than seeing two of the greatest boxers of their generation face each other. Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury will be fighting for the WBC heavyweight title. The fight is going to be at the Staples Centre, Los Angeles, US.

Fifa Club World Cup UAE 2018

Soccer fans are in for a treat this festive season as from the 11th to the 22nd of December, 7 teams from across the world battle each other for the honour to be crowned as the world’s best. The Club World Cup is being hosted in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain in the United Arab Emirates. The seven teams that will be participating in the Fifa Club World Cup are Al-Ain from the host country, Team Wellington from New Zealand, Guadalajara from North and Central America, Esperance de Tunis from Africa, Kashima Antlers from Asia, Real Madrid from Europe and one South American team which is yet to be announced.
